Meditation can be a way of life, but we have to start somewhere… this is a starting point! Meditation... - Reduce stress & anxiety - Improves cognitive function (clear the mind!) - Greater connection of body/mind/soul - Increases intuition and trust - Promotes feelings of joy and peace - Self Awareness (noticing patterns) - Connection to yourSelf and others - Sparks vitality and creativity Guides: * Laura Quinn, Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Sound & Energy Healer, Circle Facilitator * Ninat Friedland, Registered Psychotherapist, Art Therapist (guest led experience) Join us for a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth in a supportive, non judgemental and held environment. This workshop is suitable for the absolute beginner and experienced meditator alike, we are all eternal students of life. Develop or deepen a meditation practice and connect with your truest self. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of meditation with a focus on experiential learning. We will talk, practice, develop new tools, and have fun! We will cover some common questions and belief systems... What is meditation? how do I sit? my mind is always busy? I can't meditate, now what? What do I do with my eye gaze? should I...? etc.) There will be a combination of teaching, talking and experiential practice with a focus on: - Kundalini yoga based meditation - Mindfulness though art (no art experience necessary) *** Led by Ninat Friedland, RP, Art Therapist - Breath meditation - Mantra meditation Connect with a greater sense of peace in the mind, body and soul ✨ Embodied & Empowered You will gain accessible tools for incorporating meditation into your life. You will leave with options of meditation practices that you can use to build a home practice that suits your personal lifestyle. What to bring: Yoga mat (one will be provided if you don’t have one), notepad & pen, water or herbal tea, extra layer (sweater or blanket) What to wear: Comfortable clothing Meditation cushions: There will be meditation cushions provided for you to use, and for sale should you wish to purchase one for your home (at a special reduced price only for those attending) Questions? get in touch laura@lauraquinn.ca No experience necessary.
